The following is a publication of land and lots in Morgan County, State of Missouri, upon which tax certificates are to be offered for sale at the North door of the Court House in Versailles, MO. Beginning on Monday the 22nd day of August, 2011, at 10 o’clock a.m. and continuing from day to day until the complete list has been offered for sale by the undersigned County Collector of Revenue of said County according to law and the requirements and provisions of Senate Bill Number 94 and Senate Bill Number 54, the former of the 1953 session acts and the latter of the acts of extra sessions, 1933 and 1934, and session acts of 1945 and Senate Bill Number 94 remains in effect throughout this sale except as it has been amended by the Legislature, Chapter 140.160, 1979 Supplement RSMO states that all real estate having three years taxes due shall be advertised for sale for back taxes.
House Bill Number 207, signed by the Governor on April 7th, 1948,
sets the date of land sale for delinquent taxes on the Fourth Monday
of August. The land and lots are to be sold under the description as
listed and the amount as shown due for each year represents the
total amount of taxes and costs of this sale.
The Certificates will be issued covering as much land and lots as is
necessary to discharge the total taxes, interest and costs which are
due thereon at the time of sale.
Persons buying properties at delinquent tax sale must comply with
Chapter 140.405, 1997 Supplement RSMO, before a collector’s deed
will be issued.
I, Kathy Francis, Collector of County Revenue of Morgan County,
Missouri, certify that the foregoing is a true and correct list of
lands and lots that will be offered for sale as above described,
except such land and lots which taxes may be paid before time of
sale. In testimony hereof, I hereunto set my hand and affix my seal
